What others say about working with me…

“Katrina is a wonderful storyteller and skilled at helping others tap into their creativity”

“I was really moved by how quickly you were able to pick out the essence of what folks were saying…really zeroing into the core- that's such mindful and fantastic facilitation and not very easy to come by”

Katrina is an advocate and barrier breaker for those who struggle to show vulnerability. She is a damn good storyteller but the best part of her stories is that they create a space for others to share theirs.
— Vipin Shri, Senior Marketing Manager

“Katrina is creative and flexible as a facilitator, and patient and attentive as an advisor and mentor. With our diverse group of young professionals from South Asia and the U.S., I saw Katrina's respect and care for other’s experiences, along with her confidence and curiosity to contribute and collaborate.”

-Kara Morgan, Multimedia Storyteller

“One of Katrina's greatest gifts as a leader is her understanding of the role of creativity in personal and professional development. Exploring difficult subjects through theater; reflecting on workplace challenges through storytelling; embracing alternate forms of expression--these are just a few ways in which she encourages program participants to expand their minds and connect deeply with each other.”

-Priya, Librarian

Katrina is a transformative coach and facilitator. Katrina is acutely perceptive and fosters a welcoming space that encourages participants to grow. She has a keen sense of people’s potential, which she leverages during her training sessions. She is one of the most creative individuals I know, committed to innovation and excellence.
— Dr. Katja Kurz, Program Manager, American India Foundation

Participants of my workshop share…

“This workshop such a wonderful way to spend two hours -- full of reflection, contemplation, community, creativity, and inspiration. It was by far the most dynamic virtual meeting experience I've ever had, and we all lingered after the workshop ended to savor a few more moments in the space of such warmth and energy that Katrina created”

“The most inspiring part was hearing the creative writing, words, and reflections from the other participants. Each person highlighted and deepened a different aspect of the story and made it richer for all of us”

“The workshop has the right mix of learning and fun in multiple ways. Katrina is an amazing storyteller”

“I would recommend this session for people who need some healing. I do feel that the session gives us an opportunity to go deeper and connect with our own selves. We don’t do that often in our routines…”

This experience reminded me of my creativity. I consider myself to be a creative person. It’s just that in chasing deadlines and logistical technicalities, I forgot to make time to express myself. I enjoyed the different mediums that we worked with during the experience: conversations, art, writing. I left the session feeling excited, creative and reflective. It was good to re-discover that side of myself and engage with it. The most important takeaway, I would say, is that creativity doesn’t have to be taught, because we’re all creative – but sometimes it just needs a gentle nudge to be re-discovered

“It’s a safe space and a wonderful community experience. It was fantastic to be able to be creative, engage with interesting people and discover hidden treasure together! Katrina is a wonderful facilitator – and truly, this session was an incredible experience to be part of”

“The experience enabled me to reflect and realize the blessings of life. I am thankful to have had such an experience with a group of people who belong to different walks of life. It was a wonderful experience and everyone should get a chance to experience it...”

What do people discover about storytelling through my work?

“I believe that hearing a story and reflecting on it in this way is not only really enjoyable and thought provoking in the moment, but sparks a more reflective, creative, and abstract way of appreciating other stories and experiences, cultivating both joy and resilience”

“Stories make you connect emotionally”

“Story has taken me to a different world!”

“It's a fantastic way to just be present and stay in the moment”

My experience with three of your story telling sessions has been wonderfully illuminating. The tales are ancient but with your energetic approach they are decidedly current and personally relevant. I guess human nature changes ever so slowly and we can easily see ourselves in these ancient tales. It has been powerful for me personally and I now see myself in new and different ways
— John K., workshop participant
